Compendium of Infection Control Technologies

MEDICAL DEVICE EVALUATION  BECOMES SIMPLIFIED

The Compendium of Infection Control Technologies is now available for download.

The Compendium is a resource book for healthcare organizations, clinicians and others to make it easier to find sharps injury prevention, blood exposure prevention and infection control products that can protect patients, healthcare workers and others.

SPONSORS

Sponsors of the Compendium currently include the following organizations:  Premier Safety Institute, ISIPS, Managing Infection Control Magazine, AOHP and NAPPSI.

The Compendium will be published both as a printed book and as an e-book. In the printed book, each device is paired with a custom evaluation form to facilitate record keeping. The digital edition of the Compendium will have each product linked directly to the Sample Procurement Center.

The Compendium is now available for immediate purchase as in e-book.  The printed version will be available in a just a few months.

The Compendium is priced at $129.95 but, for a limited time, is available for a pre-publication price of only $89.95 plus shipping and handling. Until the printed edition is available, one price gives you all four;  The Compendium - Digital edition, The Compendium - Printed edition, a one-year premium membership to MedicalSafetyBook.com, and unlimited email updates when new and improved infection control technologies become available.

Compendium Benefits

"It's not just a book, it's a system!"  Dr. Joel Rossen
Nearly 300 medical devices and infection control technologies are listed in the current edition of The Compendium of Infection Control Technologies.  As part of your ongoing safety technology review, you will want to test many of the safety products listed in the Compendium. Some devices that are just becoming available will not yet be included in the book. The 'Compendium System' includes an interactive digital edition, a printed edition, a rapid-access website to procure product samples, and electronic updates by e-mail.

Product Evaluation Forms

OSHA regulations require facilities to evaluate new technologies that become available for the prevention of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.  These evaluations must be documented.  The Compendium provides evaluation forms, one for each device. Tailored to meet the specifications of each device category, the evaluation forms help facilities to plan and document product evaluations.

Electronic Updates  - The Compendium keeps growing!

New safety products are released every month. Existing devices are improved as their technologies mature. The Compendium is a cooperative effort of over one hundred medical device and infection control product manufacturers who are always trying to make products safer. Our commitment is to use The Compendium System to keep you as current as possible in the fields of infection control, sharps safety and bloodborne pathogen exposure prevention products.
