Safety Suture removal devices
Scissors or scalpels have traditionally been used to cut sutures prior to removal. Safety Suture Removers reduce likelihood of sharps injuries.

Traditional suture removal has required the use of scissors/scalpels and forceps to cut and remove sutures.

Newer products can slice through "cat-gut" without cutting clinicians, custodial staff or waste management workers.

Medegen taple Remvoer with magazine

Safety Features and Benefits:

AMI's Staple Remover with a Magazine collects all staples consecutively in the magazine elimating any possibility of injury. With a typical staple remover every staple is removed and handled separately and then needs to be disposed off in a sharps container. The handling and disposal causes most of the sharps injuries.

Staple Remover with Magazine

Standard staple removers remove one staple at a time which is time consuming and risky as the removed staple that contains blood borne pathogens is stored on a flat surface. The removed staples need to be handled for disposal into a sharps container. Injuries occur while removing and handling each staple and during disposal. AMI's Staple Remover with a Magazine collects all staples consecutively in the magazine elimating any possibility of injury.
