After the medication is infused into the patient the retraction mechanism is activated and the needle is retracted into the barrel of the syringe.

Once the dose is given, simply push the plunger fully to engage the safety mechanism. Pull the plunger back to retract the needle inside the barrel, and SNAP! off the plunger.

Safe-1 Safety Syringe

The Safe-1 Safety Syringe provides for multiple access to the needle without recapping. To activate simply press the button on the side of the syringe - the needle is automatically retracted up into the barrel. 

The safety mechanism allows for the safe transfer of the syringe onto sterile field without the risk of accidental needlestick.

The Safe-1 Safety Syringe is an easy-to use syringe.  Simply  aspirate fluids like a standard syringe.  Infuse the medication into the patient.  Press the button on the side of the syringe and the needle automatically retracts.

Any needle can be used and exchanged up to a 1.5" long. 

The syringe adapts to IV connectors, needleless valves, etc.
