The key areas of Owen Mumford’s business are Drug Delivery and Capillary Blood Sampling, with insulin injection pens, automatic injection devices, pen needles, and both home and hospital-use lancets, lancing devices and safety lancets. Unistik 3 is the newest safety lancet in the product range, with a simple two-step operation, and a needle that is hidden before use and automatically retracts after use, to protect healthcare workers and patients from cross-contamination and needlestick injury. UniGuard is the first single-use safety pen needle remover, which allows healthcare professionals to safely remove and dispose of patients’ used pen needles from insulin pens in the hospital environment, without having to touch the needle. All products are designed, prototyped, manufactured and tested in-house. The fully equipped design studio has industry-standard 3D modelling software, model making, prototype tooling and testing facilities. The two UK manufacturing sites specialise in needle grinding, insert moulding, injection moulding and manual and automatic assembly. Owen Mumford is committed to a philosophy of excellence in all areas of quality, and complies to the following standards:
