Needle Disintegration Products for Veterinary Hospitals
The handling of sharps such as needles, scalpel blades, etc. is a safety hazard in veterinary hospitals.  Although the risk of exposure to human blood is minimal it is important to to avoid certain activities such as recapping needles, transferring materials between containers, and failing to dispose of needles properly.  The disease-related risks from sharps are normally not present in the veterinary practice but  physical trauma and possible bacterial infections can and do occur. West Nile Virus could be transmitted through a sharps injury.  Needle disintegration products help prevent injury by destroying the needle.
