Splash Guard

The splash guard has a handle that a nurse can hold with one hand protecting the palm of her hand and the faces of the practitioners from blood splashing while the surgeon is operating.

It is well documented that 50% of gloves have pin holes at the end of the procedure thus exposing the nurses to blood borne pathogens.

The Splash Guard is a clear sterile plastic shield that replaces petri dishes to prevent splashing during surgical procedures. It is used by surgeons during shunt replacement for kidney dialysis patients. The guard prevents the splashing of blood once the clamps are removed from the vein. Orthopedic Surgeons will use it to prevent splashing or bone fragments during procedures.
